Camp Delta is a retreat in which college students and fellow community members come together and spend an entire weekend to learn more about themselves and each other. Camp Delta offers well-planned workshops and activities that help facilitate team building, leadership, and organizational and logistical skills.

Camp Delta will last for four days and three nights. This means more time for activities, more time for bonding, and more time to make those everlasting Camp Delta memories! This year's theme is Pokemon!

The retreat starts on Friday, August 5th, 2016, and ends on Monday, August 8th, 2016

Camp Delta 9 will be held at Paul B. Johnson State Park in Mississippi. It is about two hours away from New Orleans, Louisiana.

The address of the camp site is: 319 Geiger Lake Rd, Hattiesburg, MS 39401.

Many of the workshops planned by the counselors revolve around creating trust among the family members. The teamwork activities focus on understanding roles and learning about self-limitations. Communication is an important key in team building. Attendees work together with their peers to develop plans, execute their actions, and reflect on activities for each workshop.

Interest alone in Camp Delta shows the determination to stand up to become a leader within our community. Through this four-day training program, attendees will learn exactly what type of leader they are. With every exercise, their leadership skills will be tested and these young leaders will begin to see exactly what their strengths and weaknesses are.

Attendees come from different backgrounds and are on different parts of their lives. The six main Louisiana VSA's come together to train their leadership activities to improve their organization. Camp Delta has outreached to other schools and organizations such as Ole Miss, Mississippi State, the University of Southern Mississippi, the University of South Alabama, and even universities in Texas. Many collaborate with these schools and organizations within their universities or within their community. Camp Delta offers activities to focus on roles, responsibilities, and expectations of officers and members of an organization.
